0009 Pterosaur Riders

This is a tribute to the work of Frank Frazetta and Boris Vallejo. The pterosaurs are based loosely on the Quetzalcoatlus, the greatest of the winged reptiles to be discovered to date. The riders’ weapons are based on Australian Aboriginal killing boomerangs crossed with the large curved Indian Kukri. The background is a steep narrow gorge filled with lava, and the pterosaurs are riding on the thermal updrafts. First Published - 2000.
